Floral Designer & Event Stylist
I’ve always had a passion for flowers. As a child I would make pretty flower crowns for friends and family, spend hours making daisy chains for my brothers to wear on their heads and would wear head to toe floral outfits (embarrassingly with photographic evidence). I always knew I wanted to work in an industry where I could be creative and went on to study Furniture Design at University. In my early twenties I worked part time at a Florists in Montpellier, Cheltenham. The buzz of working over Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day has always stuck with me. After years working within Creative Services at a Gloucestershire Marketing Agency, I took the brave (some might say crazy) step to embark on an adventure on the high seas and began working on Super Yachts.
During my time as a ‘yachty’ the best part of my job was producing floral displays onboard and organising the event design for flamboyant parties. I always knew flowers were where my path would take me. During my time off, I took bookings as a florist at a number of weddings in the UK, providing me with valuable experience and developing my natural flair for creating beautiful floral designs.
Over the 9 years I was overseas my passion and experience grew, so I decided to further my skills by studying at the Covent Garden Academy of Flowers. I’ve finally taken the leap off the full time working ledge, fast forward to the start of Flower Style Co. and I’m now based in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds. I feel privileged to be surrounded by stunning flowers, venues, scenery and inspiration.
